2 Years Old Already?

Turning 2 is just a walk in the park for our little guy. His absolute favorite thing to do...SLIDE. He could slide a million times without getting tired of it. One thing could pull him away from the slides though...CAKE! He kept asking for some birthday cake...Mommy made him wait for Daddy and his friends to finish the basketball game...poor kid. He enjoyed all the gifts too...knew that one was a ball even though it was wrapped, but it didn't keep him from playing with it...and the new Elmo cell phone...well, he walked away to talk on it as soon as he got it out of the package (we figured it was to see if he could pick up a signal everywhere).

A Day At The Beach

Landon loves the sand, salt water, ocean breeze...

and those Carolina Girls! This summer Landon was old enough to really enjoy our trip to the beach. Mommy couldn't wait to play in the sand with her little boy. Landon couldn't wait to make a new friend...told us he'd be back and walked right up to this cute little girl and struck up a conversation. They were inseperable the rest of the day.

Landon & Brandon Learn To Swim

Spring is here...and we thought it would be fun for the boys to take swimming lessons together. Of course, Brandon doesn't mind the water in his face from the very first lesson because he's used to getting dowsed during bath time. Landon on the other hand...had me figured out from the start. On the count of three (when all the other moms took their kids underwater) Landon would open his mouth as wide as he could, knowing that I couldn't stand the thought of putting him under without his mouth closed. By the fifth lesson, I finally made up my mind that I would put him under every time I counted to three...He could count on me doing this and he would learn to hold his breath. Problem solved! He did great...and this first-time Mom finally learned her lessons in swimming.

Easter 2007

Easter this year was colder than this past Christmas...so much for the cute spring clothes we bought for Easter. I guess there will be plenty time to wear those later. Landon wanted to wear his Winnie the Pooh sweater anyway. The Easter Bunny was very good Landon. A big pick-up truck full of goodies...enough for Mommy and Daddy too! Landon recognized the carrot right away and tried to take a bite only to realize it was just orange jelly beans. Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring real carrots next year.

Happy First Birthday, Landon!

Well, it is one hot July day...a great day to spend inside in the air conditioning. But "Pirates of the Carribean" is the biggest movie of the summer and we decided to throw Landon an island party...in our backyard of course. You were so excilerated about all of the attention you received that day. All of these people were here just to celebrate you turning 1. Well, Mommy and Daddy had never let you play with your food before...or let you eat sweets for that matter. You hesitated to touch your birthday cake...I think you thought you might get in trouble. But it didn't take you long to realize that you really like this stuff...just as much as your parents do.
